Janet & Mike Siegel opened up their Sierra Smoke Shop in March 2004 because they wanted to share their enjoyment of fine cigars and tobaccos with their friends in the Merced area. As their reputation and store inventory grew, they saw a need for a lounge as a place to enjoy fine cigars & pipes. Thus was born Cigar Monkey -- Merced’s own smoking lounge.

Mike says, "I’m going to bring in what I want to smoke, and everyone else can come along for the ride!." In doing so, Cigar Monkey has accumulated a retail inventory of over 500 cigars, and over 200 pipe tobaccos. These fine smokes come not only from some of the best-known makers in the world, but some of the finest boutique blenders and manufacturers in the business.
